BE LIKE ALEX! ALEX cares so be like ALEX! Alex is an African grey parrot in my compound. Often times, in my room, I would overhear Alex talk and I would look forward to not only overhearing it talk but to actually see and hear it talk to me. So, every time I passed by it, I would always make some friendly gestures, say a hello or just smile at it and every time I got disappointed. My hopes of it talking to me began to fade until one day... I was so lost in my thoughts and my spirit was somewhat down, I walked briskly past Alex oblivious of its presence, suddenly I heard 'How are you?'.
